Our Services

Ithemba Clothing tailors all aspects of orders to the specific needs of each of our clients, taking into consideration price point, market level and garment type. We are trusted within the industry by independent start-ups, high street and niche retailers as well as ready to wear and corporate wear.

Pattern Development

If you require help getting your clothing designs production ready, we can help you to develop custom measurements. We will interpret your idea and vision from sketch, images or existing garments into technical and accurate patterns. Alternatively we can work from your pattern should you have it and grade your dimensions up and down to create new sizes.

We are skilled in a variety of pattern cutting methods including manual pattern cutting, block manipulation, copying existing garments, draping, digital pattern cutting using blocks or reworking patterns.

Our specializations include Women’s, Men’s, Sportswear, Swimwear, Lingerie and Children’s Wear spanning a variety of market sectors from street to luxury.

Design Development

From your first briefing meeting and your order delivery our design will put all your ideas all in to a mode board with as much possible different materials and trimmings that’s suits your designs and start sketching as many designs for your sketch and fabrics selection meeting.

Fabric Sourcing

Fabrics are sourced to match your requirements for composition and handfeel. We can also dye fabrics to meet your exact colour specifications and give materials additional treatments for softness.

Prototypes & Sampling

For each order we create a prototype for your approval, allowing you to test and refine the functionality of your design. Once your samples have been approved, we will commence bulk manufacture.

Once amendments are made, we will make a first final-sample to see how the actual fabric works with the pattern. The first sample is usually 80-99% true to what you want to bring into production.

After this sample, we will be able to see the small amendments necessary to get the garment ready for production

Bulk Manufacture

Bulk manufacture takes place on our production line, where all items are handmade and quality checked throughout. Quality checks also take place in the finishing stages, before your items are packaged for delivery.
